Wyoming Lemon Law Attorney

What is a lemon?

A "lemon" is a new consumer product or appliance that has a defect that substantially impairs its functionality. To qualify under Lemon Law, the appliance or product must have been sold or leased after January 1, 1987, have one or more defects that render the vehicle or other property item unsafe or unreliable for normal use, and require multiple repairs while under the manufacturer's factory warranty. Wyoming Lemon Law covers all vehicles under 10,000 pounds. This means your cars, trucks, and motorcycles are all protected. Larger vehicles, such as motor homes, are not covered under Wyoming Lemon Law.

While many people believe lemon laws only apply to motor vehicles, they actually apply to all types of consumer products. Federal lemon law includes coverage of SUVs, motorcycles, RVs, boats, computers, home appliances, and many others in accordance with The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Products and appliances covered by federal law only need to cost $25 dollars or more and come with a written warranty. Many people wonder about used cars and, in general, they are not covered under the lemon law unless you have a manufacturer's warranty, original or extended. In this case, federal law does apply and your used property is covered.

Do you need a Wyoming lemon law lawyer?

If you are the owner or leaser of a lemon, you need to get in contact with a Wyoming lemon law lawyer immediately. As with many areas of life, lemon laws contain a lot of grey areas subject to interpretation. For example, a problem does not need to occur a certain number of times in order to be considered a lemon. If your vehicle is in the shop for 30 days in the first year of ownership, consecutive or not, you are still entitled to file a claim. There are also many time-sensitive and formal procedures that you must conduct. Various processes that you could try to do on your own may end up hurting your case so it is best to seek legal aid.

An attorney at The National Lemon Law Center wants to protect your rights and can do whatever it takes to get you justice. Federal lemon law includes a fee-shifting provision for those who own lemons. This means that if you are a not-so-proud owner of a lemon, the manufacturer will have to cover all attorney fees, so what do you have to lose? Give us a call today and see what we can do for you.

"I think highly of their services and would recommend them for any lemon law case."
In 2013, I leased a high-end car, but immediately discovered a number of problems, especially sudden braking or sudden acceleration. After taking the car to various authorized dealerships, none were able to fix the problem. The manufacturer was unwilling to admit that a problem existed. After talking with a number of attorneys, I was impressed that Alex concentrated on lemon-law cases. I sent Alex all of my detailed records, he gave me a likely timeframe, and he was able to get the manufacturer to take the car back within that time-frame. I think highly of his services and would recommend him in such lemon-law cases.

"I was screwed on a new car and they helped get a refund!"
I got screwed on a new car. After fighting the dealership on my own for 6 months and getting nowhere, Alex was able to get me a refund within a reasonable amount of time (about six months, without court). I will use him again if I have to.

"National Lemon Law Center provided me excellent service during the entire process."
My initial hearing with the State Attorney General was dismissed, and I decided to give it one more try through an attorney.I initially contacted the firm in early February 2013. They responded in three days requesting for documents necessary to review the case. Once I sent them the documents, they responded within a week to let me know that they will take the case. by mid-March, they let me know that they are working with the car company. Yesterday (4/16/13), I went out to my local dealership for them to buyback my car. They paid for the remaining balance of my loan, and paid me the difference in check.Throughout the whole process, Mr. Simanovsky directly communicated with me through either by phone or e-mail to let me know what was going on, which I found to be very pleasantly surprising. This was the kind of service that you always hope for, but not normally expected to receive.
